Aurora Angels itself is primarily an angel fund looking to provide investment capital. But it is also uniquely positioned to offer extra value to entrepreneurs over and above investment of funds should a start-up company desire such. Many members of Aurora have direct and significant operational experience.

To realize the full commercial potential of technical breakthroughs, a start-up company needs business acumen, effective execution, and a network of supportive relationships. Many members of Aurora Angels possess many decades of technical and business experience with both small and large companies, both in North America and internationally. They have lead or participating in companies advancing from the idea level past initial public offerings or acquisition. Where appropriate, we provide direct and substantial amounts of advice as mentors, and may be willing to sit on boards in our individual capacities in order to lend credibility and be involved in:

Strategic directions setting,

Acting as a catalyst to attract qualified management and boards,

Introducing companies to additional corporate development sources provided by university, federal, state and local support organizations;

activating our networks to establish or cement relationships.
